Which is (or will be) more recognisable to customers and best distinguish you from competitors?

This can be quite a tricky assessment. Things to keep in mind:

  • Think about which element will be more recognisable and distinctive to your target customers.

  • A highly original brand name tends to be more recognisable and distinctive e.g. adidas

  • A less original brand name (made up of words that describe you or your business), tends to be less recognisable and distinctive.

  • A well-designed logo often has advantages in terms of being recognisable and memorable.
